Review
"Michigan Cancer", The first CD from sin division, plants a clear picture of what heavy metal
is all about. It's hard fast and it's loud.
Sin division is almost a clone of Slayer. McKay, Bauder, Shudell, Esarey fit the mode of being
a classic headbanger band back in the era of MTV's " Headbangers Ball".
They exemplify some of the same passion for their craft as did Slayer, Megadeth, and early Metallica
during metal's heyday in the mid-1980's.
McKay possesses the knack needed to be a successful front man for a metal band. His tough, raw
vocals on "Force Fed Trauma" and "Stalling" shows the strength of his voice best. There is an art to projecting one's voice
to a certain caliber and he is on his way to achieving that distinction.
The aggressive nature of the music on "Michigan cancer" is not for the light-hearted. It's intense
and powerful, both lyrically and musically.
Sin division just might have what it takes to make it as a metal band. One listen to the CD is
all it takes to realize that they mean business. In time , sin divisionought to be thrashing with the big guys.
